Professional Experience - Richard has been practicing engineering for over 20 years. As a mechanical engineer his specialty is HVAC and fire protection. His designs have ranged from small office renovations to large scale school campuses. The main focus of his practice has been in serving long term building owners for facilities such as retail, industrial, medical, educational, and libraries. As Owner of National Engineering Ltd., Richard's role is that of Engineering Coordinator. In this role Richard oversees the design of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and technology systems, directs the efforts of the team and maintains the projects' budgets and schedules. He also serves as the primary contact for the owner, architect, and other consultants on the projects. As part of the engineering team for Chipotle, Rich has developed or aided in the development of many of the corporate engineering design standards. Rich and National Engineering have also been key members in developing Chipotle's two free-standing prototype facilities and their end-line strip center prototype. Rich continues to aid Chipotle in the research and development of their environmental friendly facilities.
